Our university, with its mission of being a campus that produces science, provides all kinds of material and moral support to all our researchers, while different research centres and laboratories within our body offer services to all researchers systematically.

Our university works diligently to train individuals and researchers who have universal values, who can think pluralist and critically, who research and question, who have internalized the processes of creating and effectively using knowledge, who have the ability to apply modern teaching methods, and who have mastery in their field by using the most up-to-date educational principles and methods.

By closely following the latest developments in scientific and technological research, our university offers training and research laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technological devices in all its departments.

Believing that knowledge is the basis of development, Near East University offers world-class service to all its visitors with its library built on a closed area of 15,000 m2 that provides services 24/7.

The library, which contains more than 2,250,000 books, provides access to more than 60,000 electronic journals and 650 million electronic resources from all over the world. The library has 10,500 DVDs, 17 movie viewing booths, 12 individual and group study rooms, 4 amphitheatres for 1,000 people, a theatre for 350 people and work desks for 1,000 people.

In the library, there are audio-visual viewing cabins, as well as a children’s library, CMC archive room, special libraries dedicated to important people for the island such as Atila Türk and Kutlu Adalı, Rare Works section, and the American Corner, which is financed by the American Embassy and is the only one of its kind in the TRNC.

Near East University offers its students, who continue their education in associate and undergraduate programs, the opportunity to receive a second diploma in other fields, in addition to their own undergraduate programs, with a double major program.

A Double Major is a program preferred by students and workers who want to continue their professional and individual development with different undergraduate programs.

It allows students who are enrolled in one undergraduate program to obtain a second undergraduate diploma in another department within the same faculty or in any department they want, if they meet certain conditions.

Applications to Double Major, Secondary or Minor Programs should be made to the Rectorate with the application form on the date determined by the University Senate.
